Day 34 wow almost 5 weeks

  I can't believe its been almost been 5 weeks of eating clean, healthy, and working out its incredible. I feel amazing and every day reminds me of how worth it all this is . I love the feeling of being alive and full of energy . My muscles ache with anticipation for the next workout . I upped my weights on my hammer curls and reverse hammer curls which to me is so very exciting even though to others they might say its only five pounds whats so exciting about that but when your doing 4 sets of 10 reps its a lot. It was an amazing workout I feel the energy and endorphin surge through me . I worked my back and bieps and they ache but that means I focused and did it right. I blared the music did an hour of cardio then did resistance training for another hour . Upping my weight feels like a small victory but a victory none the less. My focus my drive will guide me to my next goal . See you tomorrow when I complete a full five weeks .

break day yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A much needed day off but I crave the gym and I miss the burn of pushing my muscles . I can't wait for tomorrow to start my week again . I hurt but it is a good hurt, my goal approach closer and closer with anticipation everyday i get more excited. I recommend if you need it a buddy of your other half to join you to keep you going I use my goals and evolving appearance to keep me going as my husband doesn't join in my endeavor. I kinda wish he would because there is so much temptation of bad foods ,but in other ways I'm glad to do it alone because its my me time everyday where I can just be me and be with myself centering . I find the gym to be very cleansing and refreshing. Keep following me all the way to a fitness competition to see how I do through the good and bad plateaus and successes . Chat to you tomorrow.

shoulders abs and hamstrings

  Back to the grind this morning for a two hour workout so crazy. One hour cardio and then moving into a strong set of resistance training so painful now every muscle is sore in my body thank for my Sunday break day. I push my self to the limits with the sound of my voice resonating in my head saying it will be worth it , it will pay off, think of the results you will get and I push trough when I think all hope is lost for moving forward. My muscle shake and quiver as I say one more rep and I make it . My pain is my knowledge its working and my reward is the mirror I look in and see my muscles tightening and getting definition the weight melting off . I keep going with the hopes and dreams to meet each goal I make . I upped my protein dropped my carbs and lowered my fat intake no alcohol while training or at least till I hit my first goal of 128 lbs then I will decide whether I wanna have the occasional bevy but for now not really interested . I got rid of mayo cheese coffee , it helps with the weight melting off. I will enjoy my day off and see you monday

Chest and Triceps

 Back to the grind today, I really am pushing my self lifting weights to the max i can do 4 set of 12 reps . Muscles shaking intense I love it . A person who I guess you could say I look up to a bit is Monica Winn
she uses the mirror as her motivation and new veins and definition as her reward using small goal to drive her to her bigger goals . I love the feeling of pushing myself and succeeding . The sting  lets me know I'm making head way and the left over ache reminds me how hard I'm working and how gratifying it will be each goal I make . My arms kill me with every stroke of the keys but I feel amazing . Everyday I'm one step closer to my goal and my journey to fitness competitions.    My reward is be tiny and toned , fitting in to small sizes and feeling great. My one hour of cardio felt like only a half an hour, t.v. helps distract me from the hour of cardio . I| watch cartoons, The Price is Right, The People's Court, and Queen Latifah all programs that require no thought, make me laugh and i lose my self in. While weight training I listen to music that I used to dance in zumba or fast paced techno it keeps me motivated. |Slow music makes me lethargic and thats no way to work out . Today feels like a victory I really pushed my self and was very successful . Tomorrow wil be shoulder legs and abs . I'm stoked. See you tomorrow bloggers.

Day 30 of atkins and gym day two allmax protein

  I started working out about 30 days ago, first with zumba and atkins, but then I realized I wanted more . Maybe its a midlife crisis sort of thing but I knew I wanted to be fit and healthy while looking younger and full of life. So of course I went shopping for new workout clothes bright fun colours full of life and energy with matching shoes .In turn this made me wanna get out there and be seen . So I joined the gym working out six days a week not really knowing what to do what machine to use , free weights or stability ball . I know everyone has been there . The gym can be a scary place almost like high school you wanna fit in but the truth is everyone is thinking the same thing and if you just do what you need to do everyone will assume it is a different workout they haven't tried or seen. I have been adjusting my diet and workouts over the last two weeks and found that all of the different work outs can be great depending on your goal and what fits your life style. I'm starting myself a challenge of having 20 or less carbs a day by using the atkins and allmax shakes and quest bars combined with veggies all day and lean protein and veg dinner . I star my day off with allmax whey protein isolate isoflex shake they have lots of flavours and out of all the different brands this one tastes fabulous. I use strawberry vanilla and banana creme as my go to flavours banana creme being my favourite . It has zero fat , 27 g of protein and 1 carb not too shabby then I go to the gym for one hour of cardio and each day I work a different muscle group like back and biceps etc but always one hour of cardio interval training . I'm burning an average of .5 lbs a day and toning and firming up so realistically I burning more weight except I'm turning it in to muscle which weighs more . Pounds aren't everything inches are important too cause when toning you should be tightening up after my work out I have another allmax shake in 12 oz of unsweetened almond milk or water to heal my muscles . I then have tons of veg aprox 6.9 carbs worth through out the rest of the day and if I'm still a little hungry which I usually am I have one quest bar vanilla almond or cookies and creme very high in carbs but almost all in fibre so on the atkins its only 3g of net carbs per bar . I have a hot shower to sooth my muscles and take my vitamins and psyllium husks . I take 1 centrum performance , 1 vitamin b 100 complex and vitamin c my shakes have the rest and I drink about 3 litres of water a day. I consume because I work out 130 g of protein 15- 20 g of carbs and as low fat. Dinner varies but usually is chicken or fish cause they tend to be leaner . This has been successful for me thus far .
